Join an upcoming tour of the Dana Dam Removal project site at Merwin Meadows Park in Wilton! Dana Dam (aka Strong Pond Dam) blocked aquatic organism passage and disrupted other ecological functions on the Norwalk River until its removal in Fall 2023. Learn about the removal planning process, site restoration design, construction implementation, and ecological benefits of dam removal. With the project now complete, we hope to spread the word among environmental groups like yours, municipal officials, dam owners, schools, and others.
