In conjunction with the High Altitude Revegetation Committee (HAR) and Rocky Mountains chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER-RM) 2019 Conference, this workshop focus on practical approaches (chemical, land management, and seeding methods) to limiting cheatgrass and allowing desirable vegetation communities to establish in restoration projects. The aim of the workshop is to educate attendees about realistic management activities that can be implemented on both large and small scale projects throughout a variety of biomes where cheatgrass can be challenging to overcome. Three experts will present recent studies and experiences with regard to the overcoming cheatgrass. A guided forum at the end of the workshop will allow for land managers and restoration practitioners to share experiences and question experts on the emerging science.
