When it comes to conservation of natural resources, California is one of the most influential and forward-thinking states in the country. At the center of this momentum is Sacramento—this year's Annual California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD) Conference host city—where the confluence of innovative policy and dynamic partnerships can make the vision of natural resource enhancement on public and private lands a reality. Resource Conservation Districts, local partners, and State and Federal agencies manifest conservation successes statewide by cultivating inclusive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders at every scale. Together, we are larger than the sum of our individual parts; together, we can develop and enact solutions to bring relevant results to California’s diverse landscapes. Over 250 professionals will be in attendance at CARCD's 72nd Annual Conference this November, including conservation practitioners, scientists, private landowners, legislators, non-profit partner organizations, and State and Federal agency representatives. Participants will enjoy an unparalleled opportunity to build new and strengthen existing partnerships, become acquainted with locally-driven conservation programs throughout the state, and explore opportunities for innovation through the cross-pollination of ideas. CARCD's 72nd Annual Conference will feature four days of exciting programming, including training workshops, exhibition booths and poster displays, dozens of presentations, breakout discussion groups, and a dynamic Plenary session. Networking opportunities will include an Awards Ceremony and Banquet, a Poolside Chat with a featured guest speaker, and an off-site dinner. The full conference agenda will be announced soon.
