Read our second edition on student research presentations at SER 4th World Conference:
Restoration Highlight No. 2

Restoration Highlights aims to bring timely information about restoration activities and research within the region to our members. We look forward to publishing your restoration-based contributions in the following three categories:

  • Restoration Updates
  • Student Offerings
  • Case Study Summaries

Restoration Updates and Student Offerings will be featured monthly and Case Study Summaries will appear quarterly. These highlights are provided free of charge as a service to our membership and the restoration community in the Northwest.

Restoration Updates: We invite an abstract of approximately 2-3 paragraphs that gives a brief overview of your project and its key findings or contributions. These may be current projects in process or finished works. Please name the project contact and mention your funding source in case others would like to follow up for more information.  Feel free to include one photo and up to two graphs/tables as part of the submission.

Student Offerings: Students are invited, via this separate category, to submit a brief abstract of their project as information sharing with the restoration community. These submissions may be finished works or projects in progress. Provide a project title and summary in approximately 2-3 paragraphs. Feel free to include a photo for inclusion. Please name the project contact and mention your funding source in case others would like to follow up for more information.

Case Study Summaries: We invite a detailed summary of a restoration project or method, up to 3 pages of pictures and text. These submissions should be finished projects. Please submit these in pdf format, and feel free to include within the 3 pages any number of photos and graphs/tables. Please name the project contact and mention your funding source in case others would like to follow up for more information.

We hope that these publications will benefit our members by increasing awareness of the many restoration activities being conducted throughout our region. We hope that our members will use this as a vehicle for sharing and showcasing their own work.

Restoration Highlight No. 1: Elwha dam removal, Aaron Clausen and Becky Brown (Eastern Washington University)
