October 2011

Conference Calendar New England Region

Change of seasons here in the northeast!  Hard to believe summer is past and the leaves are starting to change.  It’s a great time to check out some of the workshops, meetings, and conferences in our area.  Don’t delay checking out this month’s conference calendar!  And don’t forget to send any info on upcoming events!

Conferences (in chronological order)
Coastal Wetlands – Impacts and Restoration
The conference will focus on research results pertinent to topics that relate to coastal wetlands impacts and restoration issues, including, but not limited to storm damage, sea level changes, development, erosion and deposition of soils and sediments, fisheries, shell fisheries and wildlife, and other subjects related to tidal wetlands, coastal river systems, cranberry bogs, beaches, dunes, estuaries and the ocean.
A published program containing abstracts of speakers’ presentations will be produced for the conference.
Presentations can be up to 45 minutes long. A field trip to area wetlands is planned during the afternoon session (time permitting).
