Details/Description

The Trees for Life Long-Term Volunteer (LTV) Programme provides opportunities for enthusiastic individuals to gain experience in practical conservation work based at our Dundreggan Estate. Dundreggan is our flagship forest restoration project and contains substantial areas of ancient woodlands, including remnants of the original Caledonian Forest, superb birch-juniper woodlands and the largest expanse of dwarf birch in Scotland.

As part of a team, LTV’s work on a variety of innovative conservation projects with a focus on native woodland establishment and regeneration. Tasks include working in our expanding tree nursery, tree-planting, fertilising, felling and removing non-native trees. They also work alongside our regular residential groups and other day volunteers.
