Last April, an exciting and energizing development for SER occurred when the SER Board of Directors, staff and honored guests converged on the lovely White Oak Conservation Center in Florida for a strategic planning retreat.  Amid the rhinos, giraffes and river kayaking, an ambitious five year strategic plan was developed.  A mind map of the SER’s five year objectives and goals can be downloaded here.

This retreat was a great opportunity for SER to clarify its values and integrate them into a strategic plan that keeps SER on task to ensure that ecological restoration is recognized as an integral part of all communities’ plans to meet the environmental challenges ahead.
