Funding is available for a Masters student to study the importance of mycorrhizae in mine site restoration in southern Nova Scotia/Canada. The student will be enrolled in the Biology Department of Acadia University (http://www.acadiau.ca/) and utilize the newly constructed K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre for plant growth experiments (http://www.acadiau.ca/KCIrving_Centre/main.html).
Qualifications: Bachelors degree and a background/interest in restoration ecology/soil biology or related field.
