Tetra Tech EC, Inc. is seeking a Revegetation Ecologist/Specialist for work at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal site.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

Provide oversight of subcontractors performing revegetation. Plan and coordinate revegetation of disturbed areas with remediation project personnel and client. Prepare task order proposals, statements of work, and purchase requisitions. Communication skills are a must.

 

Desirable experience includes re-establishing vegetation in disturbed areas, establishing native short grass prairie vegetation on caps and covers, weed management planning and implementation, irrigation to establish vegetation, GPS, GIS, familiarity with Federal project documentation, quality, and procurement requirements, Superfund remediation, including 40 hour OSHA.

 

Requirements

 

At least five years experience with revegetation, land restoration ecology, agronomy, or similar work and a degree in range science or a related biological discipline or applicable experience.

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. The work will involve the use of CAD programs, TR-20 and TR-55, culvert design software, HEC-RAS, and GIS-based analysis tools, in addition to report writing and field data collection, primarily in the Baltimore-Washington DC corridor. Additional responsibilities may include field data collection and analysis for watershed studies and stream restoration projects.  PE is desirable but not required.  Rosgen Stream Assessment Training desirable but not required.
