2010 ELECTIONS

 

CeRSER is currently accepting nominations for three officer positions: President, Vice President, and Treasurer.  Positions are also open on the CeRSER Board and Committees. 

 

If you or someone you know is interested in one of these positions, please send your nomination and a brief biography to Chris Rutledge (crutledge@arcadis-us.com) by July 30, 2010.  We will hold elections in August.  More information on each position is provided below.

 

Overview of Chapter Positions and Responsibilities

 

MISSION STATEMENT - The mission of the Chapter shall be to foster ecological restoration awareness, understanding, and activities among a broad spectrum of participants.

 

Overview of volunteer positions responsibilities

The by-laws contain specific information about all volunteer positions and potential initiatives of the organization.

 

Board of Directors

Consists of chapter officers, committee chairs and leaders in the field of restoration ecology.  Responsibilities include attending one annual meeting to discuss chapter business and long term strategic planning. Attendance may be by conference call, although the by-laws do not specifically address this option.

 

Officers – Three Officer positions are currently open for this election.  Brief descriptions are provided for the President, Vice-President, and Secretary/Treasury positions.

 

President – currently Chris Rutledge

The President should provide overall leadership and direction of the Chapter and preside as chair at all meetings of the Board of Directors.

 

Vice-President – currently empty

The Vice President shall assume the duties of the President in the absence or upon the inability of the President to serve, and shall perform any duties assigned by the President.

 

Secretary/Treasurer – currently Thomas A. Grant III

The Secretary/Treasurer shall be responsible for recording the minutes of all meetings and the issuance of meeting minutes and of the maintenance of the membership records. The Secretary/Treasurer shall be responsible for the receipt and disbursement of funds of the Chapter and shall submit quarterly financial reports to the Board of Directors and an annual financial report at the Annual Meeting.

 

Standing Committees (All chairperson positions are currently empty)

In general committee chairs initiate, organize and coordinate specific projects of the chapter.  Committees include:

  • Programs Committee
  • Publication Committee
  • Volunteer Projects Committee
